Preparing our K-2 Kids for Online Assessments
“Preparing our K-2 Kids for Online Assessments” will discuss getting our youngest learners ready for future assessment opportunities. The session will focus on how to enhance our students’ digital skills through the use of apps, websites, interactive whiteboards, and other technology. The bulk of this conversation will center around Math and ELA tools and ideas to help our students grow in technology preparedness and use.
Amber Kowatch has been an elementary teacher for the past 6 years. She successfully launched and ran one of the first one to one iPad programs for students below third grade and it gained national attention. Her story has been captured in the documentary “Look! I’m Learning!” and is being shared around the state and country. Amber has recently stepped out of the classroom for the first time to work with the TRIG project and serve as a technology consultant for the Intra-Michigan Consortium.
