The Kent ISD Ed Tech team is now offering an online, work-at-your-own-pace course that will help you get your stuff online for others to access. See the details below, including steps for signing up.
What: An online course that will guide you through selecting and developing ways to provide digital access to your content. The course includes an exploration of the purpose of digitalizing, platforms for delivery, design and organization, transfer of existing resources, and tools and ideas for engaging activities.
Who: Open to any teacher or administrator. The course is facilitated by Craig Stenstra, Ed Tech Consultant at Kent ISD
When: Whenever is convenient for you, and it is designed to be completed in 5 hours. The course opens May 19 and will run until June 30. A new cohort will begin July 1st.
Where: Online in Edify, Kent ISD’s custom learning system. Face to face sessions will be available upon request.
Why: This aligns with the School Improvement Framework standards of best practices in content and pedagogy, delivery, and student engagement. In other words, it will help you enhance your practice and provide more opportunities for engagement.
How Much? Cost?$5 for Kent County educators. $20 for non-Kent ISD folks. There is an additional $5 fee for 5 State Continuing Education Clock Hours (SCECH’s) if you want them.
