Common Core resources for schools and libraries in NoveList at MeL

mel michigan electronic libraryAre you using the Michigan Electronic Library in your classroom?  No? It’s a fantastic resource for educators and students across Michigan.  One of the great features is a NoveList.  NoveList’s Grab and Go Book Lists support Common Core and curricular Units of Study and provide 20 to 30 books in a range of reading levels based on your curricular area.

Recently, EBSCO posted some updated videos on YouTube covering Common Core resources for schools and libraries in NoveList.  There are 7 short videos showing how to find books in these areas:

  • Match a Unit of Study
  • Historical Events
  • Picture Book Extenders
  • Read-alikes,
  • Reading and Writing Concepts
  • Narrative Nonfiction for Young Readers
  • Common Core Connections in NoveList.

Check out the playlist of how-to videos at MeL.org under Training & Promotion, EBSCO category.  You can jump directly to the YouTube playlist here.
